CINQAIR is a treatment for severe, uncontrolled eosinophilic asthma.
CINQAIR is an add-on prescription medication for people 18 years of age and older
whose asthma is not controlled with current asthma medicines and who have high levels of eosinophils.
CINQAIR is the only anti-IL-5 with personalized weight-based dosing:
Weight-based dosing enables your doctor to personalize a dose to you. Personalized doses are calculated based on your weight at the time of your treatment.
What are eosinophils?
Eosinophils are white blood cells that help fight infection and illness. They’re a normal part of our immune systems. However, having too many eosinophils causes inflammation of the airways and can lead to asthma symptoms and attacks.
How CINQAIR Works
CINQAIR works in a way that is different from inhalers or steroids.
Exposure to asthma triggers can activate eosinophils and cause them to multiply. This increase in eosinophils can lead to airway inflammation, asthma symptoms, and asthma attacks.
A Look Inside the Lungs:
How CINQAIR reduces the production and survival of eosinophils and reduces asthma symptoms.
The mechanism of Cinqair action in asthma has not been definitively established.
Don’t know if your eosinophils are high?
A simple blood test can tell you.

Results with CINQAIR
Reduce severe, uncontrolled eosinophilic asthma attacks
Improved breathing
Improve quality of life
Fewer asthma attacks
severe eosinophilic asthma symptoms and attacks.
In studies:
CINQAIR consistently helped prevent exacerbations in multiple clinical trials over 52 weeks
The majority of people who added CINQAIR
to other asthma medicines did not have an asthma attack, compared with people who did not add CINQAIR.
- As many as 3 in 4 people who added CINQAIR did not have an asthma attack for the entire year
- In comparison, only about half of people who did not add CINQAIR were free of asthma attacks
CINQAIR also reduced asthma attacks that*:
- Required the use of oral steroids
- Resulted in visits to the hospital or emergency room
*No clinical studies have assessed reduction of maintenance corticosteroid dosages following use of CINQAIR.
Better breathing
CINQAIR
improved breathing.
Better lung function means better breathing. Studies showed that people who added CINQAIR to their asthma medications had improved lung function test results when compared with people who did not add CINQAIR to their asthma therapy.
If you aren’t sure how well your lungs are working, talk to your doctor about getting a lung function test.
Improved symptom control and quality of life
CINQAIR improved symptom control and quality of life.
People who added CINQAIR to their asthma medications reported an overall better quality of life compared with those who did not add CINQAIR. And people who added CINQAIR had better control over their symptoms† than people who did not add CINQAIR.
†As measured by the Asthma Quality of Life Questionnaire and the Asthma Control Questionnaire-7. These tools assess the physical and emotional impact of asthma and how well asthma is controlled.

Taking CINQAIR
What to expect when starting treatment
CINQAIR is given once every 4 weeks.
It is an intravenous (IV) infusion given through a small needle by a healthcare provider. It takes as little as 20 to 50 minutes to receive the full dose of CINQAIR.
CINQAIR dosing only requires a 50-mL bag—the smallest IV bag available.
CINQAIR is always given by a healthcare provider.
CINQAIR is an “add-on” medication.
This means it is taken along with the medications you are already taking, such as inhalers and oral steroids. If you and your doctor decide that CINQAIR is right for you, keep taking your other asthma medications unless your doctor tells you not to.
Preparing and monitoring your treatment
Your healthcare provider will prepare your dose of CINQAIR before each treatment. Your dose is personalized based on your weight at the time of treatment. Wherever you receive CINQAIR, a healthcare provider will monitor you.
CINQAIR is always given by a healthcare provider.
Questions to Ask Your Doctor
Haven’t been tested for eosinophil levels?
Start a conversation with your doctor.
If asthma symptoms are interfering with your daily life even while taking medications to treat your asthma, it’s important to talk with your doctor. A blood test for eosinophil levels can help you and your doctor choose a treatment such as CINQAIR that may help reduce your symptoms.
Here are questions to help you start the discussion:
Should I have my blood tested for eosinophil levels?
If my eosinophil levels are high, is treatment with CINQAIR an option for me?
